D & D 3.5: Next trip to Dead Snow

After more than a month of silence on the blog, as it were summer, there is finally an article. It is the summary of three feature meetings which mainly revolved around role-playing and background / fluff of the Wild North. In addition to the D & D-round, we could in the time and the second Blood Bowl season end - the contributions are still pending.

Off to Sundabar
After Helmfried Steintor could bring to his task a vial of silvery moon after Auvandell run with success, the journey continued to the northeast in the direction of Dead Snow, the goal of adventurers. First, they followed the trade route across the steppe of Sundabar Vale. The group came to meet little travelers and even fewer have been overtaken by the wayside. Occasionally they met a few riders who were most Sundabar soldiers who were on the hunt for orcs. Even the Rauvin could be crossed uneventfully and so achieve Sundabar without scarring the city rich. Excited about the variety of magic products for which the city is also famous, we wandered through the markets. The prices of the items but then exceeded the budget and so there was look at it. Also a tour of the mines was being considered, but despite the presence of a dwarf, it was not the four, allowed to visit all areas of the Lower City, especially the ever fire. So they only spent one night in the city, which was through the use of the Bard Dorn gray castle quite damp, but happily survived economically. Especially Helmfried Steintor enjoyed the convenience of an urban environment and the alcohol was issued to them. The next morning they again took leave and drove through the east gate to the northeast.

stop in Newfort
On the Road Fork were the four witnesses a conversation between a couple of gnolls and a half Orkin, when it apparently went to a shop. It turned out that the half-Orkin Deliyra Narm a trader from Newfort was actually trying to build a commercial relationship with the gnolls. The lure of a warm bed following accompanied the adventurers back to the dealer Newfort. There they were in the "Hero's Reward" below, a small tavern, the former Zenthiler Trevis Uhl belonged. Knox and Keldorn visited the local shrine and the priest Tempus Nargroth (half-orc). He believed the new defense-in citizens here should be located and asked if Keldorn would not be willing to let down. Meanwhile learned Dorn that a large part of the village population consisted of former Zenthilern. After another memorable performance received an invitation from Dorn Stauvin Stonebrace , the owner of the mill and one of the few non-Zenthiler of the place. Through him he learned that the amulet which he of the strange old woman in Khelben received an emergency weapon involved. By playing a Foklukan Badura-that the old Stonebrace bequeathed could Dorn free this weapon actually from the amulet. To thank promised the bard that he would stop by on the way back from Dead Snow again and Stauvin , probably belonged to the harpist, will teach about local events. In parallel, persuaded the dealer Deliyra Narm the Warlock Helmfried a sealed message to Haskar Riverside , a dealer (Halfling) from Dead Snow, to convey. The next morning, the group then broke again to go on the Fork Road to Dead Snow.

arrival in Dead Snow
the rest of the trip could bring the adventurers largely without problems behind, just the weather and its vagaries them a little displeased. At the crossroads Dead Snow left the track to the Fork Road and stopped right on the town, the Dwarven Marthammor of the hostel was located two miles from the city, they could not attract. Before the walls of a Dead Snow Barackensiedelung prepared consisting of ramshackle huts and tents. There controlled the four first to come in for the night. It took just as long until they had built up their tents until they were robbed twice and almost a dwarf in close proximity to them was killed, his murder should be attached to them. In the following discussion with the captain of the guard Mannock they could prove their innocence and even leave a good impression on him. It was agreed on a beer in Blazon, in which the group then landed the last room, and housed the animals. Before the meeting was still enough time to stroll a bit in the city and look around. Helmfried visited the Ausüstungsladen of Haskar Riverside and brought him news from Newfort. In the tavern Dorn made it to heat up the atmosphere and collect some information. Sun was learned that the gold rush came through a detection in a tributary of the River Icespear about and overflowing now approaching the city by the flowing gold seekers. Therefore Lady Icespear had about a month, the gold seekers allowed to camp in front of the city, this Camp was "Snow Town" called by the locals - as soon as the first snow falls in the fall of the housing for probably disappear. During the day is Snow Town almost empty, because the soldiers of fortune in the mountains and the hills looking for gold, is the night powered the unrest Barack city center of alcohol and hope. With the gold diggers, new problems came to town Dead Snow: gambling, drugs, prostitution and violence on the streets. From Mannock learned the heroes disappear in addition to the problems in the city probably still animals at night from the sheep and goat herds. The next morning, the group broke up at right to report to Lady Icespear and offer their help.

The first order
Lady Arletha Icespesar received the visitors somewhat reluctantly, but with full respect. During a fairly extensive breakfast reported the four seen here by their order on behalf of the Silvery Moon Dead in Snow for the right. The interference of third disliked in the affairs of the city of the nobles visibly intimated read but that they could prove their value in solving the riddle of the missing animals. Stakeholders and Lady have a combined reward of 300 gold for it collected. If this were done, one could discuss other issues. Subsequently, preparations were a little off and went to the sheep, goats and to drive cattle to the pasture Dorn persuaded the shepherds and shepherd their animals in a sink to a large flock together. This would then guard the adventurer by night. So the bard disguised as a shepherd while the rest was up to the sink around in wait. was in the glow of the light ring of the Tempus priest to recognize that there was at least a dragon - and indeed, in the middle of the night appeared a great flight monster and tried to get one of the animals in the catches.

Conclusion
The warlock was able to play three nights in the 4th Level up while the rest only marginally the next step closer. The last game night I ended with a cliffhanger - the fight against the dragons on the pasture or the way it should go even further next time with the same vigor. Especially since we wanted to stop in between the first Blood Bowl League - there were from a league and then the next two finals.
