When the night of Thursday, the DEB-team with the game against Sweden in the Olympic hockey tournament einsteigt, then with the following (final) squad:
Goal: Dennis Endras (Augsburg / DEL ), Thomas Greiss (San Jose / NHL), Dimitri Pätzold (Ingolstadt / DEL)
Defense: Michael Bakos (Ingolstadt / DEL), Sven Butenschön (Mannheim / DEL), Christian Ehrhoff (Vancouver / NHL), Jakub Ficenec ( Ingolstadt / DEL), Korbinian Holzer (Dusseldorf / DEL), Chris Schmidt (Mannheim / DEL), Dennis Seidenberg (Florida / NHL), Alexander Sulzer (Nashville / NHL)
storm: Sven Felski (Berlin / DEL), Marcel Goc (Nashville / NHL), Thomas Greilinger (Ingolstadt / DEL), Jochen Hecht (Buffalo / NHL), Kai Hospelt (Wolfsburg / DEL), Manuel Klinge (Kassel / DEL), Marcel Müller (Cologne / DEL), TJ Mulock (Berlin / DEL), André Rankel (Berlin / DEL), Marco Sturm (Boston / NHL), John Tripp (Hamburg / DEL), Michael Wolf (Iserlohn / DEL)
Stevo: I understand how you people like Bakos, Ficenec, Schmidt Tripp in this year's form in the Olympic squad could apply. The nomination of Butenschön is probably due to the fact that he grew up near Vancouver and the national coach because he probably wanted to fulfill a little dream - in terms of performance, the Mannheim in the squad lost nothing! Where are Dietrich, Baxmann and brown, which would certainly not worse than the above? Of course, the younger, but surely it should include not only performance and experience ...
In the storm I do not like that with Alex Barta one of the best German Center sent home, with Blade and Tripp are but two Krupp-set favorites as usual. Again the question must be asked, why-form players as Dolak, Kreutzer, Gawlik or a Lewandowski are present.
